The efficiency of any solar pool heating system is all about flow! Pentair Optimum Positive Seal Valves have excellent flow characteristics. They are also manufactured to strict quality standards & never require lubrication! They provide a lifetime of superior performance, high flow rate & withstand pressure up to 150 psi.
State of the Art Manufacturing
Triple Threat solar panels undergo a state-of-the-art manufacturing process designed to significantly increase the materials resistance to UV light. This process eliminates the inherent quality issues that plague cheaply manufactured products which typically see a lifespan of only 1-2 years. Triple Threat solar panels are an investment aiming to save you money, time, and the headache of replacing damaged panels year after year.
Each absorber plate of a Triple Threat solar collector is made from a propylene copolymer with synergistic antioxidants and UV screen including carbon black. When these special additives are coupled with a process of melt-blending the plastic, the thermal characteristics are altered, substantially increasing the material’s resistance to UV light. This process is vital in creating a solar panel capable of withstanding the sun's harsh conditions for years to come.
*For panels to last full life expectancy of 15-20 years, they should be installed on a sloped surface and plumbed in a manner that allows for automatic gravity drainage. Triple Threat comes with everything you need to allow for this functionality. Freeze damage must be avoided! This is accomplished by assuring no water is in the collectors when temperatures drop below 40 degrees Fahrenheit.

Quality Components for Performance & Longevity
Panel & System connector hoses are molded EPDM rubber designed specifically for use with solar pool heating systems. Outlet header bracket, strap brackets and hose clamps are stainless steel construction for optimal strength and corrosion resistance.
Flashing bases are also included to support lag bolt attachment to the mounting surface and provide enhanced seal.
- Durable UV-resistant EPDM rubber for long life in direct sun.
- Reinforced center prevents deformation from pressure and vacuum.
- Hose-clamp indicator ridges for perfect placement and seal.

THE SWIMEASY DIFFERENCE
Unmodified polypropylene has a high rate of degradation from UV exposure. Sunlight breaks down the plastic and weakens it, a serious problem for a solar collector as its very nature is to collect as much sunlight as possible. Each absorber plate of a SwimEasy solar collector is made from a propylene copolymer with synergistic antioxidants and UV screen including carbon black. These special additives, coupled with state-of-the art manufacturing techniques, substantially increase the material’s resistance to UV light. These are vital components toward creating a collector able to withstand the harsh conditions of a roof-top for years to come.
Products made from plastic typically start out as one-of-two types of resin blends:
- Masterbatch: Natural (clear) resin pellets are mixed with a concentrate during the extrusion process. This concentrate would contain additives and fillers used to affect the end-product’s physical appearance or properties. Sometimes called a “salt-and-pepper blend,” this type of mix is less expensive for the manufacturer to use, but can often result in uneven distribution of key additives.
- Precompounded: Compounding is a process of melt-blending plastics with other additives. This process alters the physical, thermal, or aesthetic characteristics of the plastic. Compounding starts with a base resin, which is blended with additives in an industrial mixer, producing a final resin ready for use in manufacturing. Additives are evenly distributed throughout the resin and subsequent end-products.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
THE FOLLOWING COMPONENTS ARE INCLUDED IN EACH DIY KIT:
Panel Kit: Contains the necessary parts for installing a solar pool heating panel to the mounting surface and connecting one panel to another within a system. One (1) Panel Kit is included for each solar panel in the kit.
Each Panel Kit contains:

- (1) Outlet Header Bracket Flashing Base,
- (2) Strap Bracket, Stainless Steel
- (2) Strap Bracket Flashing Base

Row Kit: Contains the parts necessary for making water connections from a row (bank) of solar pool heating panels to the system's supply and return plumbing lines. Specialized pipe connectors create a leak-free seal between solar panels and PVC pipe. These pipe connectors are an extremely important component for any solar pool heating system and should always be used to connect PVC pipe to solar panels via a rubber coupling hose. Also contains the parts necessary to aid in gravity drainage of the panels and piping, as well as cap off a single row of solar panels. One (1) Row Kit is included with each system. If you are installing your panels in multiple rows, you will need one (1) additional Row Kit per row of solar panels.
The Row Kit includes a vacuum relief valve. Vacuum relief valve's allows air to enter the solar pool heating system when the pool pump shuts off to facilitate automatic gravity drainage of the panels and pipe. This is an extremely important aspect of solar pool heating systems to prevent freeze damage, as well as keep air from stagnating within the panels and piping.

Flex Hose Adapter Kit
Includes specialized adapters developed to connect either 1.25" or 1.5" flex hose directly to the Triple Threat solar pool heating system. Contains adapters to attach to the solar panels, PVC fittings, 3-port valve and 2-port valve. One (1) Flex Hose Adapter Kit is included with each system.
Triple Threat contains no threaded fittings. Specialized adapters connect with the use of O-rings & hose clamps for a completely secure, leak-free seal. These are the connection types used with high pressure inground pool systems, previously unavailable for above ground (flex hose style) swimming pools.
Triple Threat system comes with a full set of adapters to connect to either 1.25”/1.5” flex hose, or PVC pipe.
Each Flex Hose Adapter Kit contains:

Accessory & Completion Kit
Contains the necessary parts for completing a standard roof mounted installation of the Triple Threat solar pool heating system. One of these components is the Drain Loop Assembly, which allows for the automatic gravity drainage of the panels & piping when the pump shuts off. This functionality is critical for keeping systems protected from freeze damage when temperatures drop below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. One (1) Accessory & Completion Kit is included with each system.
This kit is also used for assisting in alternative installation methods. Kit includes enough strapping for up to (6) solar collectors. If more strap is needed, additional may be purchased by searching for PN: 16007 (available in multiple lengths, or 100 ft. bulk roll).
When solar panels are installed horizontally OR on a ground mounted surface near pool level, panels will either need to be connected to an automation system with freeze protection enabled or manually drained of all water whenever temperatures are expected to drop below 40 degrees Fahrenheit (temperature at which freeze damage can begin to occur).
Each Accessory & Completion Kit contains:

Premium Pentair Optimum Positive Seal Valves
Triple Threat includes premium Pentair Optimum Positive Seal Diverter Valve's. Positive seal valve's assure maximum flow is maintained for a maximum heating performance.
Pentair Optimum Positive Seal Valves have excellent flow characteristics. They are also manufactured to strict quality standards & never require lubrication!
- Maintenance-free PTFE coated diverter requires no lubrication.
- Positive seal ensures complete isolation.
- Withstands pressure up to 150 psi.
- Fiberglass reinforced handle with field-adjustable stop positions.
- Allows attachment to either 1.5" or 2" plumbing and inlet can be plumbed at any port.
Pentair 3-Port Positive Seal Diverter Valve
3-Port valves are used to divert water either to the solar array (turn solar on), or back to the pool (turning solar off). One (1) Pentair 3-Port Diverter Valve is included with each system.
Pentair 2-Port Positive Seal Isolation Valve
2-Port valves are used to isolate the solar system for winterization, keep water from backflowing through the panels when the system is shut off, or system maintenance. One (1) Pentair 2-Port Diverter Valve is included with each system.
WHAT SIZE SYSTEM DO I NEED?
The most relevant aspect of sizing a system is based on the square footage of your pool. We typically recommend matching anywhere from 50%-100% of your pools total surface area to solar collector coverage (solar panels).
*For example, if your pool is 500 square feet, then 50% solar coverage equals 250 square feet of solar panels, 75% solar coverage equals 375 square feet of solar panels, etc. From this point, you'll want to look at selecting a panel size that fits your installation area.

Refund Policy
All product ordered through Solar Pool Supply may be returned for a refund provided; (a) the item(s) are returned within 30 days of receipt of shipment; (b) the item(s) arrive back in a new and unused condition with all the original packaging. If the reason for return is not the result of an error by Solar Pool Supply, the buyer will be responsible for covering the shipping costs involved with the item’s return. Any item that is returned damaged, worn, or impaired in any way will not be accepted and the buyer will need to cover the costs of shipping to have the product returned to them. A 20% restocking fee is required for all returns and will be deducted from the refund. This fee is charged to cover the costs associated with quality control inspections, product handling and processing reimbursements. Warranty Claims
All solar heating panels “Collectors” are sold with a manufacturer’s warranty, a copy of which may be found on the brand’s page. Solar Pool Supply is not responsible for any damage incurred as the result of customer negligence or installation error and such incidents are not covered by warranty. All solar heating panels “Collectors” must be installed with new hardware for warranty coverage to apply. For all warranty claims and replacements, the customer is responsible for covering all shipping costs.
Tips to Protect your Purchase
Verify the condition of your product. Any product that arrives damaged or defective must be reported within 72 hours of delivery. Once this window has elapsed, the recipient acknowledges that the product has arrived free of damage or defect and accepts full responsibility for the condition of the product. Future concerns relating to the performance or function of the product must be addressed through a warranty claim subject to the terms and conditions of the manufacturer’s warranty policy.
Use caution when walking near solar collectors.
These products are not designed to be walked or stepped on; such actions may damage the collector and/or riser tubes. Accidental damage during installation is not covered by warranty.
Use only new hardware.
Reusing old hardware has been shown to damage new solar collectors. For warranty coverage to apply, all solar pool heating panels “Collectors” must be installed with new hardware.
Use caution installing rubber couplings.
Damage may result from couplings being pushed too far onto the header manifold, tearing outside riser tubes. This occurs when clamps are left untightened and additional collectors are added. Each side of the coupling should be tightened to the manifold before attempting to insert the other side. Using new hardware WITH internal rubber stoppers virtually eliminates this problem, however caution should still be exercised to mitigate this problem completely.
