Allows air to enter the solar pool heating system when the pool pump is turned off and facilitate water drainage from the panels. This is especially important when winterizing your panels to prevent freeze damage. Designed to be installed on the solar feed plumbing line. Valve is 3/4" male pipe thread (MPT) attachment type.

My original broke after a few years. Specifically the reducer spigot piece cracked. I decided to replace the entire relief piece because to remove that piece from the PVC pipe would of be a hassle. This was the perfect piece to replace since it already came attached to the PVC. If you purchase this piece, remember, this reducer spigot does not come glued onto the PVC!! You must glue this piece on yourself. It will look like it's glued on but it is not. I learned this the hard way when I turned on my solar heater and the reducer popped off, spraying water all over.
