The cover is great! I've purchased a couple of covers from another company, but you can tell this cover is more durable and better made. It's hard to tell the cooling effects but I'm really happy it isn't shiny or an eye sore in any way. I'll likely get another when my other covers wear out.

I am in the desert SW so I try to keep the evaporation down as much as possible by keeping it covered when not in use. However, with all the other pool covers, clear has the problem of heating the water and pool walls up, and blue or grey would shade the pool walls but allow the water to get even hotter. My pool has the secondary problem of getting over heated as the concrete surrounding it absorbs so much heat that in the real dogdays of July and August the water will be rising in temperature even after the sun goes down. without intervention it can get to 100 F easily. After much experimentation with shading the concrete in the daytime, and removing the solar cover at night just to keep the temp around 90, I replaced the aged clear solar pool cover with this Coolguard cover. I took the chance on it being twice as expensive as the other covers but hopefully it will hold up longer than the cheep-o's in the desert Sun. It has performed perfectly- the 3 weeks since I got it I have not had to trouble with opening it at night nor shading the concrete and the water has not gotten above 90. By opening every 4th night, I can keep the temp closer to a nice for exercising 86. Truly worth it for me.

Customer service was great and informative when we ordered the cover. It arrived within a few days. We live in SC and our pool was up to 93 degrees which wasn't refreshing. We started using the cover during the day and taking it off at night. It only took a couple days to drop the temp. We now enjoy swimming in a pool that is around 84 in the morning and 86 in the afternoon. You simply put the cover on during the day if you are not swimming and take it off at night. It is a heavy duty cover but we use a reel to roll it up. We have our pool back and Love it.

While we have only had this cover for a few weeks, but we are not seeing the drastic temperature drop others claimed to get. It might keep our pool 2-3 degrees cooler, but so far that’s it. If over time we see better results then I will update this review accordingly.

This cover does not keep the water cool. High price and basically not able to return it. Wasted money.

Cost effective way to keep stuff out of our stock tank pool and try to keep it cool in the Texas summer. We cut it down to fit an 8' round with no problems. It is keeping the pool much cleaner, and we are using less chlorine to do so. I'll have a better idea of the cooling feature once we are out of the 100+ degree heat. Nothing can combat that 100%!

They don't keep our pool very cool but they do stop evaporation. We live in Texas and wanted a system that would stop evaporation but keep the pool cool. We have to take them off every night and put them back in every morning.

This cover works as advertised! Keeps my small pool at a refreshing temperature even in the upper 90s and full sun.

Great cover, keeping debris out and the pool much cooler in this TX environment. Questions I had about cover and cutting to size were answered quickly by company executives.

This product does nothing to reduce temperature of the pool. After the first 3 days I had my doubts and wanted to return it, but once it is opened and out of original packaging you are not able to. Tricky fine print there. Since I am stuck with it I tried it for two weeks. Even tried putting in on after the pool had cooled over night or due to rain. Didn't matter. The pool still reached the same temperature as it did without the cover. Useless.

High maintenence. It does cool the pool well, however for my state I ended up buying the wrong one. Their website is difficult.

Great product. Without the cover I have a hot tub. Cover in the morning and remove in the evening. Light weight and easy to just slide over the water.

Love that it keeps the pool several degrees cooler

Been using the cover 8 days now and haven’t had to add water to the pool yet; formerly topped up every 4-6 days

Product is far superior to competition with heavier weight, more durable composition. I ordered white which is better for me in the desert to reflect the heat. I'm very happy to have found this resource.

Looks and seems great. Ask me in one year, we'll see how it wears

Two words, " It works!" On 95 degree days it keeps our pool at a steady 86, not the bathwater we were suffering with earlier this summer. Highly recommend, it is worth the money!

This product didn't work for us. We have a 19 ft. Swim spa.

I am so happy at how well the solar bubble does it's job. Ours covers about 2/3 of the pool but does a great job!! I didn't want the hottest days of summer to warm the pool so much that when we got in it was too warm to actually cool off. So I'm very surprised and WILL buy another one when this one wears out.. ha! A very happy customer.

The heat waves last summer and early this summer were raising my pool water temperatures to 90 and above. Un-swimmable. Very frustrating as the pool serves as stress relief as well as a cool down. My pool guy had no practical advice so I googled options. This was the most practical for me, and reasonably priced so I ordered. It works! Since using the cover, my pool has not been hotter than 84 - a lovely, swimmable temperature - even during the latest 3-day heat wave. I do work all day so the pool is covered all day and I swim after work. On the weekends I’m at the pool, and it goes uncovered, all afternoon. I am very happy with this purchase. It’s made a difference!

Initial impression is the cover controls the temperature 2-3 degrees. Will need additional evaluation as the Summer moves in and conditions heat up.

Live in phoenix where it is 110 for most of the summer. I have am above ground pool and it was too hot to swim in for half of the summer, but this fixed that problem

Mainly got the cover to prevent evaporation which it has done well. The temperature control of the pool water is an added bonus.

Great money saving product. Here in Texas the water in my pool used to drop one inch every week and the water temperature raised to almost 90F. Since i got this cover, water level has been steady for a month and water temp around 86F. So far, awesome product.

I was skeptical of this seemingly low tech and easy solution to a several years long problem of our pool getting too hot in the Texas sun, but IT WORKS!!! Very cool. We're happy.

This is a salt pool in Florida. Once the cover was on I was able to turn my chlorine generator down from 60% to 20% and reduce my pump time from 14 hours per day to 10. I can’t speak confidently about what it is doing for my water temperature but the days here have been in the middle 90’s and the nights get down to 78. I run a solar chiller at night and the temperature of the pool is always around 86 degrees where I have it set. It seems that the chiller turns off much sooner than it used too. All in all I am very pleased with the cover. It is a little heavy but I prefer to think it will last longer because of that. When we first put it on the amount of sunlight it reflected was astonishing. Well worth the money so far just from an equipment and energy savings. I definitely recommend getting one if you live in a hot climate.

We are located in New Orleans with extremely hot summer days. During the heat of the summer, our pool would get as warm as 95 degrees. To avoid installing a heat pump capable of cooling ($7000) I found this cover and decided to give it a shot. While it is a little tricky to say for certain what the impact has been, I am confident it has lowered the pool temperature by 3 or 4 degrees. For the cost of this cover, that is a great result. I have been leaving it on at night, but will try pulling it off at night in hopes of allowing the pool to shed some heat at night. But regardless, I'm very happy with cover.
