Reliable, Durable, Trusted - SwimEasy.

SwimEasy solar panels are among the most durable, high performing panels on the market. Each panel is manufactured from precompounded polypropylene with synergistic antioxidants and UV screen including carbon black. These special additives play a vital role in developing a panel capable of withstanding the harsh conditions of a rooftop, in all types of weather, for up to 15-20 years. Each panel is put up against more than 40 quality control inspections throughout the entire manufacturing process to ensure the final product.

SwimEasy solar panels undergo a state-of-the-art manufacturing process designed to significantly increase the materials resistance to UV light. This process eliminates the inherent quality issues that plague cheaply manufactured products which typically see a lifespan of only 1-2 years. SwimEasy solar panels are an investment aiming to save you money, time, and the headache of replacing damaged panels year after year (see "Not All Plastic Is Created Equal" for details).

Replaces ANY solar pool heater with a round 1.5” or 2” I.D. header and attaches with a rubber coupling.

SwimEasy solar panels fit interchangeably with any solar pool heater panel featuring a round 1.5” or 2” I.D. header and makes connections with a rubber coupling and metal hose clamp. Each panel is built from high-grade materials proven to last in all types of weather and deliver a life expectancy of 15-20 years.

SwimEasy collectors are constructed in a “tube-and-web” design which separates each individual round tube by a thin strip or “web”. This design allows for normal expansion and contraction that occurs due to thermal heating and cooling, extending life expectancy. Each panel is comprised of 8 individual plates that are thermally-welded and insert-molded. A direct, metered manifold delivers a balanced flow through the collector and prevents hot-spots.

Homeowners nationwide can now purchase premium panels used by the industry’s leading installers and save thousands of dollars on high-end systems. SwimEasy solar panels are proudly Made in the U.S.A.

Product Literature

Not All Plastic Is Created Equal

Unmodified polypropylene has a high rate of degradation from UV exposure. Sunlight breaks down the plastic and weakens it, a serious problem for a solar collector as its very nature is to collect as much sunlight as possible. Each absorber plate of a SwimEasy solar collector is made from a propylene copolymer with synergistic antioxidants and UV screen including carbon black. These special additives, coupled with state-of-the art manufacturing techniques, substantially increase the material’s resistance to UV light. These are vital components toward creating a collector able to withstand the harsh conditions of a roof-top for years to come.

Products made from plastic typically start out as one-of-two types of resin blends:

Masterbatch

Natural (clear) resin pellets are mixed with a concentrate during the extrusion process. This concentrate would contain additives and fillers used to affect the end-product’s physical appearance or properties. Sometimes called a “salt-and-pepper blend,” this type of mix is less expensive for the manufacturer to use, but can often result in uneven distribution of key additives.

Precompounded

Compounding is a process of melt-blending plastics with other additives. This process alters the physical, thermal, or aesthetic characteristics of the plastic. Compounding starts with a base resin, which is blended with additives in an industrial mixer, producing a final resin ready for use in manufacturing. Additives are evenly distributed throughout the resin and subsequent end-products.

The Ideal Choice If Your Looking For:

Simple Installation

SwimEasy utilizes rubber couplings and metal hose clamps to make connections. These components are by far the fastest & simplest method for attaching & securing a solar pool heating system. They offer far more wiggle room during installation than propriety clamp style systems (less hassle & faster assembly).

Reliability & Longevity

State-of-the-art manufacturing processes coupled with special additives come together to create a panel capable of withstanding the harsh conditions of your rooftop, in all types of weather, for up to 15-20 years. Each panel is put up against more than 40 quality control inspections throughout the entire manufacturing process to ensure the final product.

High Performance

Constructed of 8 individual plates that are thermally-welded and insert-molded. A direct, metered manifold delivers a balanced flow through the collector and prevents hot-spots. A tube-and-web design separates each individual round tube by a thin strip or “web”. This design allows for normal expansion and contraction while collecting more heat.

Premium Quality Replacement

SwimEasy solar panels are compatible with any solar pool heating system that has round 1.5” or 2" I.D. header manifolds and makes connections with rubber couplings and metal hose clamps.

How Many Panels Do I Need?

To find out precisely what size system (how many panels) will adequately heat your pool and provide the results your looks for, see our page on "How to Size Your System". All the factors are discussed and we will help you identify the best system for your pool, climate zone & heating goals.

What Parts Do I Need?

Panel Kit

  • Contains the parts necessary for installing a solar pool panel to a supporting surface and making water connections from one panel to another.
  • (1) panel kit is required for each solar panel.

Row Kit

  • Contains the parts necessary for making water connections from a row of solar pool heating panels to the systems supply and return plumbing lines. Also contains the parts necessary to aid in gravity drainage of the panels and piping.
  • (1) row kit is required for each row of solar panels.

Row Spacer Kit

  • Contains the parts necessary to bypass mounting surface obstructions larger than 6" such as roof vents, skylights and exhaust fans. Allows connection of PVC pipe between the panels to provide proper clearance of the obstruction. Row Spacer Kits are also used to connect collectors into one row that are on different roof levels or that are facing different directions.

Polyester Hold-Down Strap

Repair Tool Kit

  • In the event a collector is damaged and incurs a pinhole leak, this kit contains everything needed to make a repair to the damaged riser tube.

D.I.Y. SYSTEM KITS

Take the guess work out with one of our DIY system kits. Each kit contains everything you need.

  • Install your chosen number of solar panels in a single row. *If the system is being broken-up into multiple rows, one additional row kit will be required for each added row. Please contact us if you need assistance with multi-bank / custom systems.
  • Mount solar panels to your preferred installation surface; roof or rack.
  • Make water connections to and from each panel.
    • Make water connections to your supply and return plumbing lines.
    • Allow for gravity drainage of the panels and piping when the pump is turned off (water drains back to your pool through the supply plumbing line).

What Parts are Included in the Kit?

The following installation hardware is included in a SwimEasy DIY kit. The row kit, panel kits, and hold down strap are always included while the row spacer kit is sold separately.

Which Size System Do I Need?

The most relevant aspect of sizing a system is based on the square footage of your pool. We typically recommend anywhere from 50%-100% solar panel to pool square foot coverage based on a number of different variables including, weather, shade, install direction, wind, climate region, performance expectations, etc. For example, if your pool is 500 square feet, then 50% coverage would be 250 square feet of panels, 75% coverage would be 375 square feet of panels, etc. From there it is selecting a panel size that fits your installation area.

To find out precisely what size system (how many panels) will adequately heat your pool and provide the results your looks for, see our page on "How to Size Your System". All the factors are discussed and we will help you identify the best system for your pool, climate zone & heating goals.
