Compatibility

Will it fit my existing system?

Almost certainly. SwimEasy fits interchangeably with any solar pool panel that has round 1.5″ or 2″ I.D. headers and connects with rubber hoses and metal hose clamps — the industry-standard method used by most major brands for decades. Your existing mounting hardware and plumbing stay right where they are.

Before you order

Verify your header size.

Header size is the inside diameter (I.D.) of the manifold — the main pipe running along the top and bottom of your existing panel. It is not the outside measurement.

Measure the open end of the header pipe, then choose 1.5″ I.D. (1.9″ O.D.) or 2″ I.D. (2.375″ O.D.) at checkout. Not sure? Call us before ordering — a two-minute check avoids a return.

I.D. O.D. 1.5″ I.D. = 1.9″ O.D. 2″ I.D. = 2.375″ O.D.

What You Get

One panel, connectors included.

Each replacement includes the SwimEasy panel in your size plus (4) heavy-duty rubber hose connectors — the parts that make the water connections to your neighboring panels or plumbing. Hose clamps and mounting hardware from your existing system can remain in place, though installing with new hardware is recommended whenever existing hardware shows signs of aging or wear.

Replacing two or more?

The 2-pack bundles two panels with eight connectors. Full DIY kits save the most when replacing multiple panels & hardware.

Need fresh hardware?

The Panel Installation Kit adds new mounting brackets, strap brackets, hose clamps, and connector hoses, keeping your install clean.

The Engineering

An upgrade, not just a replacement.

Chances are, SwimEasy is engineered better than the panel it's replacing — more heat captured, freer flow, and design decisions built around decades of daily rooftop expansion and contraction.

Animation of the SwimEasy universal mounting system

Universal Mounting System

Free-floating mounts let the panel expand and contract without stressing the panel, the anchors, or your roof — and they place anywhere along the header, so they work with your existing anchor points.

Cutaway of the SwimEasy over-molded header

Over-Molded Header

One solid piece with no weld joints to fail and no flow restrictions — water moves freely and the panel drains completely, extending service life.

Animation of the flexible zip joint system

Flexible Zip Joints

Expansion joints every 6 inches let panel sections move independently — critical where trees, chimneys, or roof lines cast partial shade across the panel.

Animation of the tube-on-fin absorber

Tube-on-Fin Absorber

Fin webbing between each tube collects heat alongside the tubes themselves — more absorption per square foot means more heat in your pool.

Common Questions

Before you order

Will SwimEasy work with my existing brand of panels?

Yes — SwimEasy fits interchangeably with any solar pool panel that has round 1.5″ or 2″ I.D. header manifolds and connects with rubber hoses and metal hose clamps. That covers the vast majority of panels installed over the past few decades, across brands.

How do I measure my header size?

Measure the inside opening of the manifold — the main pipe at the top and bottom of your existing panel. An inside diameter of 1.5″ corresponds to a 1.9″ outside diameter; 2″ inside corresponds to 2.375″ outside. Unsure? Call us before ordering and we'll confirm it with you.

Do I need new mounting hardware?

Your existing brackets and strapping may physically work, but panels should be installed with new hardware whenever existing hardware shows signs of aging or degradation — protecting your new panels through their full service life. The Panel Installation Kit includes fresh mounting brackets, strap brackets, hose clamps, and connector hoses, a small add-on that helps ensure your panels last as long as they are designed to.

Can I mix a new SwimEasy panel with my older panels?

Yes — as long as your existing panels use the same header size and hose-clamp connections, SwimEasy installs right into the row. Keep in mind a new panel may sit slightly differently than decades-old neighbors; our specialists can talk through your specific layout before you order.

When does a full kit make more sense than single panels?

If most of your system is aging, replacing panels one at a time gets expensive. Our DIY kits bundle panels with all installation hardware at a significant discount — usually the better value once you're replacing three or more panels. Not sure which way to go? Request a Free System Design and we'll map it out for you at no cost.
