Maximizing pool temperature and inhibiting algae growth at the same time is now possible with award-winning winter pool cover material, meaning there is no need to compromise between temperature and chemical savings.
Perfect for use as both a Summer and winter pool cover, EnergyGuard™ Selective Transmission offers algae inhibition and optimized solar gains, making it the most innovative solar cover to date.
Effective against algae growth, the patented EnergyGuard™ Selective Transmission is an effective winter pool cover, and can be left on your pool for the entire off-season, safe in the knowledge that cleaning and opening up your pool for the summer will be a breeze.
AWARD WINNING MATERIAL
The EnergyGuard™ Selective Transmission summer and winter pool cover material was awarded the 2018 Business Innovation Award for delivering significant societal and economic impact through the application of Physics.
SELECTIVE TRANSMISSION
The bubble layer of the material uses a midnight blue pigment which gives the material its selective transmission properties. The dual-purpose summer and winter pool cover material works as a selective filter absorbing the visible wavelengths responsible for photosynthesis. This absorbed energy is passed to the pool through conduction, while the transmission properties of the bubble layer allow for Infrared radiation (IR) to pass through the material and be directly absorbed by the water.
DEBRIS AND ALGAE CONTROL
As well as preventing debris from entering the pool, EnergyGuard™ Selective Transmission helps maintain a pleasant, warm swimming environment by inhibiting algae growth. Perfect for use as a winter pool cover, EnergyGuard™ Selective Transmission can dramatically reduce the cost and time spent on maintenance of your pool.
HEAT RETENTION
The unique profile of the GeoBubble™ technology air cells provide this summer and winter pool cover with both buoyancy and an insulative air gap to control heat transfer enabling the material to manage the pool environment and keep the pool and the desired temperature.
EVAPORATION CONTROL
Our materials reduce water losses through evaporation by working as a barrier between the water’s surface and the atmosphere. By simply covering the pool with the summer and winter pool cover, evaporation is reduced by over 98%, resulting in the preservation of the water resources and increased temperature within the swimming pool.
