Want more heat from the system you already have?
Add a panel.

Adding collector area can help your existing solar heating system deliver more warmth. Start by evaluating your total system size, then choose a compatible panel and plan how it will connect to your current layout. Our specialists can help you determine the right addition.

01
Size the whole system

Your pool’s surface area, climate, and swimming goals determine how much collector area makes sense. Evaluate the complete system before adding panels.

Before you order

You've got questions. We've got answers.

Which replacement panel do I need?

Go by the connection. Rubber hoses and metal hose clamps on round headers means SwimEasy. A clamp joint with no hose means SwimJoy. A twist-together union means SunLink Pro. A flexible strip held by ring clamps means NanoEdge. Then match the header size and the length of the panel you’re replacing on the panel page. Not sure what you have? Send us a photo of the connection and the panel size and we’ll confirm the fit before you order.

How do I measure my header size?

Measure the open end of the header pipe, then choose 1.5″ I.D. or 2″ I.D. at checkout. Not sure? Call us before ordering; a two-minute check avoids a return. SwimJoy, SunLink Pro and NanoEdge panels each come in one header size, so on those only the length changes.

My installer is gone and my panel brand isn’t sold anymore. Can I still replace a panel?

Usually, yes. Most panels installed over the past few decades join with rubber hoses and metal hose clamps on round 1.5″ or 2″ I.D. headers, and a SwimEasy panel fits those, FAFCO and Techno Solis among them. A clamp joint with no hoses under another brand name is often the same connection as SwimJoy. Send us a photo of the joint and the panel size and we’ll tell you which one before you order.

Do I need new hardware for a replacement panel?

New mounting and connection hardware is recommended with every replacement panel; old clamps and pads wear with the panel they held. Each panel page lists the Panel Installation Kit for that brand so you can add it to the same order. Roof fasteners and sealant aren’t supplied; a single replacement panel goes back on its existing anchor points.

Can I mix panel lengths in the same row?

Yes, on every system. Where the length changes within a row, a row spacer kit will be needed to connect the panels at that point. If you’re not sure what your layout needs, ask us before ordering.

Will the new panel be the same size as my old one?

Close, but measure. Sizes are approximate and the measured length is what a tape shows; a panel made today can measure slightly narrower or shorter than one installed years ago. The connection and the header size are what have to match. Send us your measurements if you’d like us to check them against the size table before you order.

How long do solar pool heating panels last?

10+ years is typical. The panels have no moving parts and sit in the sun doing one job. Warranty terms vary by brand. If the rest of your system is 15 or 20 years old, a free system design will tell you whether one panel or a new array makes more sense.

What if a panel leaks under warranty?

Send us a photo of the leak and your order details and we’ll start the claim with the manufacturer for you. Each panel’s warranty terms are on its product page. A small puncture or a single tube leak can often be fixed with a repair kit instead of a new panel.
