I have a Jandy RS control system and live in central Florida. I achieved automated summertime nocturnal cooling with solar panels by 1st reversing the solar panel valve switch (toggle switch on side or bottom of valve actuator). 2nd scheduling my filtration period at night. 3rd Setting my my pool and spa temps at 60F. The solar panels will now cool while pump is running because the RS controller will think the panels are switched off, when actually they are on. This allows me to still heat my spa remotely from work when I want to use it when I get home in the evening. Of course, you want to change these settings back when the colder weather comes. Granted, results depends on overnight temperatures and other weather conditions. Hope this helps.

BTW, I bought my solar system from SolarPoolSupply last year. Matt at SPS was extremely helpful in getting everything I needed to install it.
